1. About ConsentTrace
ConsentTrace provides cookie compliance verification and consent assurance consultancy services. We use proprietary tooling and testing methods to assess how cookie consent behaves in real user journeys.
ConsentTrace is a service-based consultancy and not a Consent Management Platform (CMP).
2. Website Use
You may use this Website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- misuse the Website or attempt to gain unauthorised access
- introduce malware or disruptive activity
- copy, reproduce or redistribute Website materials without permission
3. Services
Any services we provide (including cookie testing, journey verification, evidence packs, reporting, or ongoing monitoring) will be delivered based on a written scope agreed with you (for example: email confirmation, proposal, statement of work, or invoice description).
We may refuse or pause services if technical, legal, or security constraints prevent reliable testing (for example: bot protection blocking test traffic).
4. Fees and Payment
Pricing, deliverables and timelines will be confirmed prior to service delivery.
Unless agreed otherwise:
- invoices are payable within 14 days
- late payments may result in service suspension
- all fees are exclusive of VAT (where applicable)
5. Client Responsibilities
To deliver services accurately, you agree to provide reasonable cooperation including (where required):
- confirming domains and journeys to test
- allowing the testing IP(s) where bot/WAF rules block verification traffic
- sharing any relevant consent/CMP configuration details when requested
6. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in:
- the ConsentTrace framework
- our tooling
- report templates
- methodologies
- and any non-client-specific materials
remain the property of ConsentTrace.
You may use the reports and outputs we provide for your internal business purposes. Redistribution to third parties is permitted only where explicitly agreed in writing.
7. Confidentiality
We treat client information as confidential and will not share it externally except where:
- required by law, or
- the client has provided written permission
8. Disclaimer
We aim to provide accurate and reliable compliance verification, however:
- we do not guarantee that a website will remain compliant after changes are deployed
- our findings represent the evidence observed during the agreed testing scope and timeframe
Our services do not constitute legal advice. If required, we recommend clients seek legal guidance for regulatory interpretations.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses
- our total liability for any claim relating to services provided will be limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific services giving rise to the claim
10. Termination
Either party may end an engagement by written notice. Where work has already begun, fees may still apply for completed work and reserved delivery capacity.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this Website.
